The Lexington Dolphins Swim Team is a parent-managed team. The Team relies on dedicated volunteer work by parents of the swimmers. Parents work as judges and timers at swim meets, raise funds at Bingo nights, and serve on the Board of Directors. To keep costs as low as possible, all families are asked to contribute time to team activities and to assist in fundraising.

- Bingo. All families are asked to contribute time to operating bingo games. Games are held every Thursday and Friday night.
- Swim Meets. Parents work as timers at all meets. Parents can also become stroke and turn judges or starters after becoming certified by USA Swimming
- Board of Directors. Directors are elected annually to oversee the team
- Fund Raising. Each family is responsible for raising $250.00 for the 2010-2011 swim season. You can meet your fundraising obligation by participating in the Swim-a-thon or Fall Splash, or by soliciting a sponsor, as outlined in your registration materials. This obligation must be fulfilled by December 31, 2010 or you will be invoiced for your obligation in January 2011. There are three ways to fulfil your fundraising obligation:
- Swim-a-thon – The Lexington Dolphins will be hosting a USA Swim-a-thon event at our facility. Each swimmer will be encouraged to participate and raise money for our team. Any money raised will go towards your fundraising obligation. Swim-a-thon information will be distributed at our August parent meeting. Visit the USA Swim-a-thon page to learn more.
- Fall Splash, raffle and silent auction – The Fall Splash is an annual evening event for the Dolphin parents and friends to get together. Each ticket sold will count towards your $225.00 fundraising obligation. Fall Splash information will be distributed at our August parent meeting.
- Sponsorship – You may solicit a team sponsor. The cost of sponsorship is $250.00. The corporate logo of the sponsor will appear on our website, team shirt, promotional materials, and banners hung at the facility. This would fulfill your entire fundraising obligation. Sponsor information will be distributed at our August parent meeting. Sponsorships must be received by October 1, 2010. Download the Sponsors Form to give to your sponsor to be filled out.
The Ways and Means committee may add additional fund raising opportunities during the season.
