Dave Doolin Head Coach

Dave began his coaching career in 1993 as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at the University of Kentucky for three years. Previously, Head Coach of Paris YMCA and Middle Georgia Aquatics, Dave was named Head Coach of the Dolphins in 1999.  He has coached various KY All-Star and Zone Teams. Dave has successfully coached swimmers at all levels and was named Kentucky Swimming Coach of the Year in 2001 and KHSAA Boys Coach of the Year in 2005. Dave also serves as Program Development & Operations Director for Kentucky Swimming.

Maureen Ratliff - Assistant Coach

Los Angeles native Maureen Ratliff is to new Lexington, Ky. due to marrying the her college sweetheart Will Ratliff. Maureen swam four years for the Florida Gators swim team. She helped the Gator’s win an SEC Championship with 3 SEC titles of her own. She is a 23 time NCAA All-American and team captain. Outside of her college success she was a member of USA swimming’s National Team from 2001-2004, competed at Pan-Pac in Japan and twice at the World University Games. Post swimming Maureen worked as a substitute teacher at St. Euphrasia School in Granada Hills Ca and a swim coach at Port Aquatics in Porter Ranch California.

Phillip Shelton – Assistant  Coach
Phillip has joined the Dolphins staff in September of 2006 and brings new energy to the team.  Phillip grew up swimming for local teams such as Tates Creek High School and the Pinnacle Pirates.  He has been involved in many local and state level championship swim meets.  In the summer of 2006 he began his coaching career with the Pinnacle Pirates where he is currently the head coach. His Pirate Team went undefeated in the 2008 Dual Meet season.

Stephanie Kehler Assistant  Coach

Stephanie Kehler is in her second year on the Dolphin staff.  Stephanie also serves as the head coach of the Dunbar High School Swim Team.  Dunbar won the Lexington City Championship and finished second overall in the 2008  Ky High School State Championships. Stephanie resides in Lexington with her husband, Kent and their three children, Alex, Eric and Courtney.

Megan Zerhusen – Assistant  Coach

Megan is in her first year coaching the Dolphins, but she swam for the Dolphins from 1985-1991. While swimming for Dolphins, Georgetown Stingrays and FAST, she won the100 meter free at YMCA Summer Nationals twice, and set many conference and state YMCA records. At Scott County High School, she won State four times. Megan attended the University of Pittsburgh and Western Kentucky University, setting school records in relays. In 1998 she began coaching the Stingrays, becoming Head Coach in 1999. After college Megan coached at FAST, then 2 years with Bulldog Swim Team. She Coached Scott County High School for 4 years being named Region 3 women’s coach of the year in 2006.
