Swim With the Dolphins Raffle:
Next Friday, November 12 will be the drawing for the Swim with the Dolphins trip. The drawing will take place at the Bingo Hall on Keithshire Way. Raffle tickets will be available at practice during pick-up and drop-off times this week. If you need tickets and don’t see someone at your practice time, please contact Jennifer Lewis at or Di Sobel at to make other arrangements.
All tickets must be turned in by Thursday, November 11th.
Fall Splash Update:
I’m sure that anyone who attended this year’s Fall Splash would agree that is was a lot of fun and a huge success. There were so many great auction items and the food and drinks were great! A big THANK YOU to the Splash Committee; Jennifer Lewis and Elizabeth Taylor, Sarah Gibbs, Jill Perez, Wendy Florence, Lee Walker, Ann Albrecht, Di Sobel, Amy Neal, Katherine Henry, Julie Toth, Mahin Ashki and Michelle Crane-Phillips. If you see one of these ladies please let them know how much you appreciate their hard work.
Attn: Basket Winners:
Each year the auction items are displayed in baskets. These baskets are reused each year by the Splash Committee. In all of the business and excitement of the evening, items were not taken out of the baskets when prizes were claimed. If you won an item that was in a basket and wouldn’t mind returning the basket only, please bring them back to the pool. This would be very helpful and save money on Splash expenses in the future. Thanks for your help!
Swim-A-Thon:
It is not too late to solicit or turn in Swim-A-Thon money. Monday, November 22nd will be the last day to turn in Swim-A-Thon money.
A few things to remember:
- All money collected counts toward your fundraising obligation.
- The person in each group that raises the most money gets to be coach for a day.
- Anyone that raised $250 or more gets to “pie” a coach in the face at the pep rally.

White Group Parent Meeting:
The will be an informal meeting for parents during practice this Thursday in the Pinnacle clubhouse. We will discuss the upcoming meets and be available for questions. Please contact Susan () if you have questions before the meeting.
Jack Thompson Meet Results:
Congratulations to the many swimmers who competed in the Jack Thompson Meet in Louisville. Many parents have asked about results of the meet. If you are interested, here is a link to the meet results.
Wildcat Meet:
Our next swim meet is the Wildcat Autumn Classic, here in Lexington, November 19-21st. This is a very large meet, so we will be sending out a detailed “What to Expect” document to help new and returning swimmers/parents. Basic meet information can be found on Wildcat’s website.
Brentwood Meet of Champions-Hotel Arrangements:
Although we have not signed up for this meet yet, those of you that are planning to swim at the Excel Aquatics Meet of Champions in Brentwood, TN, need to act quickly. We have a block of rooms at the Hilton Suites, including King and Double Suites for December 2-4. (Remember, this meet starts on Friday morning, December 3). If you are interested in staying at the Hilton, you must contact the Hilton Suites in Brentwood, TN at 1-615-370-0111 to reserve your room. They have given us a room rate of $93, you need to tell them you are with the Lexington Dolphin Swim Team.
Because of the high demand of rooms at this time of year, reservations must be made by Friday, November 12 to hold your room and guarantee this rate.
