MISSION STATEMENT

The Lexington Dolphins purpose is to foster and encourage amateur swimming. We participate in swimming competitions that support the development of young swimmers. The Lexington Dolphins encourage the participation of all swimmers, regardless of income, sex, race, color, religion or national origin.

TEAM PHILOSOPHY

The Lexington Dolphins are a cohesive team where coaches see each child as an individual with different goals and abilities. Our swim program will challenge, encourage, and equip team members for continual improvement in skills, character and competition. Emphasis is placed on building a team among swimmers, coaches, and parents in a supportive, enthusiastic atmosphere. Swimmers will improve their skills, teamwork ability, sportsmanship, and respect others within a competitive atmosphere led by a dedicated, highly competent coaching staff.

TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE

We are very proud of our swimmers and their accomplishments. The team has made a significant impact at the local, state, regional and national levels. Dolphin swimmers have qualified and swam at YMCA Nationals, YWCA Nationals, USA Sectionals, USA Junior Nationals, USA Nationals, US Open, and Olympic Trials competitions. Individual Dolphins have captured YMCA and YWCA National championship titles, Kentucky State championship titles, achieved top 16 age group rankings and earned High School All American honors. The Dolphins are well represented in Kentucky High School swimming and in Kentucky USA swimming with numerous top 8 finishes.
